Responsibilities
Serve as a primary technical resource supporting sales representatives, licensees, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through construction
Provide preliminary and detailed technical guidance on retaining wall systems, foundations, and related precast solutions
Assist with project-specific calculations, layouts, and design assumptions to support specifications and bids
Participate in customer meetings, lunch-and-learns, site visits, and presentations to explain product capabilities, design considerations, and constructibility advantages
Develop, update, and maintain technical content that supports sales and customer success, including: Design manuals and technical bulletins, Product specifications and construction details, Installation guides and best-practice documents, Project case studies highlighting successful applications, Support and train customers on the use of retaining wall analysis and layout software (e.g., Redi-Rock Wall +, SRWall, MSEW, or similar tools)
Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and product teams on testing initiatives to validate performance and expand system capabilities
Help define testing objectives, assist with execution, analyze results, and summarize findings in clear, customer-facing reports
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, including soil and rock mechanics, shallow foundations, and slope stability
Working knowledge of retaining wall analysis, design, and construction practices
Experience using retaining wall or geotechnical analysis software (Redi-Rock Wall+, SRWall, MSEW, or similar)
Familiarity with the construction industry and the roles of engineers, contractors, owners, and material suppliers
Proficiency in AutoCAD for layout development and construction details
Ability to analyze technical data and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical, or related focus preferred)
3-7+ years of relevant engineering or construction-related experience
Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred
