They are seeking a Senior IT Product Manager to lead the API Office, responsible for managing API governance, strategy, and standards while collaborating with development teams to enhance API capabilities and ensure product value.

Responsibilities
Facilitating the API Governance process, stewarding the API Strategy, and setting standards and best practices for how teams should operate in the Enterprise Mobility API ecosystem
Engaging with solution teams to provide consultation and guidance
Proactive engagement with application development teams, road mapping, reporting, and product management for new capabilities to the API gateway and event driven architecture platforms
Collaborating with API development teams to understand their needs related to API platforms, standards, and processes
Translating needs into requirements and collaborating with teams that will design, build and roll out new capabilities
Partnering with solution teams to ensure the APIs are well documented in the API Marketplace
Maturing practices related to product management
Qualification
Required
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours
8 years of related experience in the field of information technology, preferably supporting a large organization
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role
Experience managing an API Marketplace, including administration and enhancements
Experience organizing and leading governance efforts/meetings
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
Working knowledge of REST and event/EDA API concepts and platforms
Proven experience developing product strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to executive leadership
Experience using Agile/Scrum methodology and workflow management tools
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Technical background with experience in API development and software development practices
Certified Agile or Scrum Product Owner
Experience managing JIRA based Agile teams and SharePoint customer knowledgebase sites
Experience with the Kong API gateway product
Experience with Solace Event Driven Architecture product
Experience in leadership and team management
