Responsibilities
Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis
Upgrades administrative tools and utilities and Configures and adds new services as necessary Maintains and administer the company Active Directory infrastructure, including users, computers, security/distribution groups, organizational units, and group policy objects
Administers the company Single-Sign-On (SSO) solution and configures new applications and maintain existing applications to take full advantage of SSO
Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID
Provides project management for system upgrades and rollouts where applicable
Analyzes hardware and software system performance, review monitoring tools, and perform routine maintenance as necessary
Escalates to management any issues of significant or immediate concern
Installs new or rebuilds existing servers in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements, including the configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc
Adheres to defined change control procedures and be able to work in a fully audited financial services environment using accepted best practices
Researches and recommend innovative approaches for system administration tasks that leverage finite resources
Ensures that system hardware, operating systems and software systems adhere to company policies Develops and maintains installation, configuration and hardening procedures
Assists in the administration of the Exchange email environment
Assists in the administration of the VMware and Hyper-V virtual server environments
Provides helpdesk support as required by operational needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent combined education and experience required
Five (5) +years' experience working with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
Microsoft certification a plus
Cloud certification a plus
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop Products
Knowledge of VMWare ESX server virtualization products
Success as a competent troubleshooter
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet appropriate deadlines
Excellent organizational skills
Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to internal customers and associates, having a positive attitude, and being a team player
Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with essential job functions
Ability to multi-task is essential
Preferred
Experience and knowledge of industry compliance standards such as Payment Card Industry (PCI)
Knowledge and experience with Linux
PowerShell scripting experience
Cloud knowledge AWS, Google, Azure
