Responsibilities
Assist landscape architecture team in design, drawing production and project management support
Assist landscape architecture team with complex projects from initial concept through to completion
Work effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams
Prepare effective planting designs and construction documents with minimal oversight and assistance
Develop project specific construction details with an understanding of project budget and constructability
Perform site analysis, product and plant research and sourcing
Integrate sustainable design and construction methodologies into our work
Maintain and assist in improving existing company standards, processes and systems
Contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts
Qualification
Required
Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional office
Highly motivated, well-organized team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong desire to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, biologists, planners and other practice area specialists to achieve project goals
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land FX planting, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Sketch Up and Microsoft Office software
Proficient with Pacific Northwest plants, native and ornamental, and planting design
Basic experience in building construction drawing packages
Basic experience in preparing project specifications and cost estimates
Preferred
Prior experience with WSDOT, PBOT, and/or ODOT standards, specifications, and processes, including preparation of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) and design-bid-build delivery methods
Knowledge of Central/Eastern Washington and Oregon planting design
Knowledge Rocky Mountain states' planting design
Knowledge of irrigation design
