LHH is working with a large national law firm in seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Downtown Oakland. The role involves managing all aspects of the litigation process, including filing procedures in both state and federal courts, and requires a strong background in business litigation and eDiscovery.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal
Manage eDiscovery processes, including document review and production
Independently handle court filings and adhere to filing deadlines in both state and federal courts
Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
Conduct legal research and gather relevant information and documents
Maintain and organize case files and legal documents
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts

Required

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business litigation
Proficiency in eDiscovery tools and processes
Strong understanding of state and federal court filing procedures

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Paralegal certification preferred, or 10+ years of relevant experience
