Human Resources Assistant
Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions and requests
Coordinate and conduct candidate interviews
Support pre-employment, pre-boarding, and onboarding processes
Complete employment eligibility documentation, including I-9s and E-Verify
Plan and facilitate in-person new hire orientation
Maintain and update employee records within HRIS systems
Process employee job changes, compensation updates, and status changes
Track and maintain attendance records and related documentation
Provide payroll support by ensuring appropriate documentation for employee changes
Prepare HR reports related to attendance, referrals, and employee data
Coordinate IT access requests for new hires, role changes, and separations
Assist with employee engagement activities and company events
Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of professional administrative experience; HR experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Working knowledge of human resources practices and employment laws
Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
