Learning & Development Lead
Alpha Inc. is a Hawaiʻi-born leader in heavy civil construction and infrastructure services, seeking a Learning & Development Lead to drive strategic execution and program leadership. This role is critical in translating vision into execution, ensuring the quality of learning initiatives, and fostering collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities
Co-lead the execution of Alpha Academy’s most critical learning and leadership initiatives
Translate strategy into clear plans, timelines, and deliverables — then drive them to completion
Own programs end-to-end: design, pilot, rollout, and evaluation
Identify risks early and take decisive action to keep momentum strong
Ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across divisions, roles, and locations
Step in to stabilize, redesign, or accelerate programs when complexity increases
Stay relentlessly focused on outcomes, not just activity
Serve as a primary partner to Operations, Safety, HR, IT, and other stakeholders
Translate real operational needs into scalable, effective learning solutions
Facilitate collaboration, remove roadblocks, and drive decisions forward
Represent Alpha Academy as a credible, trusted leader across the organization
Provide leadership coverage and continuity for the Learning & Development team
Mentor and support team members to elevate ownership and execution quality
Serve as a proxy for the Learning & Development Manager when needed
Reinforce standards, accountability, and operating rhythms
Partner with the L&D Systems Administrator to ensure programs are supported by strong systems and reporting
Use data, feedback, and insight to continuously improve learning effectiveness
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and scale with discipline

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Organizational Development, Business, or equivalent experience
5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, or Organizational Development
Proven success leading complex initiatives from concept to execution
Strong judgment, ownership mindset, and comfort operating autonomously
Preferred
Experience in construction, skilled trades, or operationally complex environments
Experience partnering closely with Operations and Safety leaders
Experience scaling programs across multiple locations or business units
