UATX is seeking a Major Gift Officer to join its growing Office of Development and play a critical role in securing philanthropic support. The Major Gift Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, primarily focusing on individuals capable of making significant gifts.

Responsibilities

Build, manage, and advance a robust portfolio of major gift prospects and donors

Cultivate authentic, long-term relationships through thoughtful, sophisticated engagement, including frequent meetings by phone, Zoom, and in person

Develop and execute individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies leading to successful gift closures

Steward donors to deepen engagement and encourage sustained and increased giving

Travel regularly (at least 35% of time) to meet with donors and prospects

Plan and execute donor cultivation events

Partner closely with Development colleagues to develop donor events, proposals, briefing materials, and other donor collateral

Required

Substantive experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, sales, business development, strategic partnerships, investor relations or equivalent experience

Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising and relationship-based solicitation

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt strategies in a fast-paced, evolving environment

High level of initiative, organization, and follow-through

Strong alignment with UATX's mission and an entrepreneurial, institution-building mindset
