FAMSA, INC is a financial institution seeking a Branch Customer Service Representative to evaluate and authorize loans. Responsibilities
Evaluate, authorize, and approve loans
Advise borrowers on financial status and methods of payments
Act as liaison between customer and our financial institution and help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner
Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval
Help applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process
Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and work history to determine feasibility of granting loans
Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, financial statements, and other financial information
Review and update credit and loan files
Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy
Compute payment schedules
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers' needs
Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation to the Branch Manager or Management office
Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them
Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals
Negotiate payment arrangements with customers who have delinquent loans
Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for loans
Prepare reports to send to customers whose accounts are delinquent, and forward irreconcilable accounts for collector action
Qualification

Proven working experience as a loan officer
Familiarity with computers and loans applications/software
Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment
Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
Schedule flexibility including weekends
