Assistant/Associate Professor in Digital Media
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of digital media in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses, conducting research, and engaging in academic advising and curriculum development, with a focus on mass media production.

Teaching undergraduate level courses, especially in the program’s mass media production concentration, including digital audio and radio
Conducting research and grant writing
Academic/student advising
Student mentoring and recruitment
Curriculum development
Conducting scholarly activities and all other activities required for tenure
Creating courses on films and documentary production
Engaging in accreditation procedures
Program assessment
Service to the department, College and University as needed
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in mass communication, journalism, media or a Ph.D. closely related field with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline
Preferred
Earned Ph.D. in Journalism, Mass Communications or Media
Professional training
Teaching experience at the University level
Research experience at the University level
