Responsibilities
Independently manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
Conduct legal research and in‑depth analysis to develop effective case strategies
Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and briefs
Attend and participate in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure efficient case management
Maintain strong client communication and provide updates on case assessment, investigation, discovery, and litigation progress
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
1+ years of litigation experience (public entity defense experience is a plus but not required)
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Preferred
Trial experience is a plus
