Responsibilities
Collaborates on the design and development of software solutions using Appian low-code capabilities, including process models, SAIL interfaces, record types, expression rules, and reusable components
Participates in the configuration and optimization of the Appian platform, addressing technical issues as needed
Develops and maintains integrations between Appian and other systems using RESTful services, APIs, and enterprise data sources
Supports the delivery of workflow and case management solutions based on Appian for various business initiatives
Assists in evaluating and implementing Appian platform features and upgrades to enhance reliability and efficiency
Promotes Appian best practices and helps ensure alignment with established engineering standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
5+ years' substantial, hands-on experience developing with Appian
Experience building workflow-driven and case-based applications in medium-to-large scale environments
Good understanding of platform security, integrations, and data access patterns
Exposure to regulated environments; strong discipline around security, compliance, auditability, and reliability
Hands-on experience with Web API development, massaging queues (i.e. Kafka) and other Appian integration capabilities
Familiarity with Appian SAIL, Records, Data Fabric, and platform deployment processes
Preferred
Master's Degree
Appian Certified Developer or equivalent platform certification
Experience with AI modeling and use of Appian AI features
Experienced delivery utilizing object-oriented programming languages
Development or administration experience with multiple data management technologies (SQL, Relational and Cloud Databases, Databricks, etc.)
