Responsibilities
Supporting external communications and issues-related initiatives across media and digital platforms
Tracking and synthesizing coverage, online discourse, and emerging themes relevant to OpenAI
Preparing concise internal updates and briefs to support shared understanding and decision-making
Partnering with cross-functional teams to provide context and insight during fast-moving or time-sensitive situations
Helping teams stay aligned as external narratives evolve
Contributing to internal reviews and documentation to improve communications processes over time
Qualification
Required
Experience in external communications, issues management, media monitoring, or a related field
Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly
Excel at distilling complex or noisy information into clear, actionable insight
Exercise strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive topics
Enjoy collaborative, cross-functional work and supporting teams during high-visibility moments
