Responsibilities
Server and database backup and tape rotation
Ensure servers and workstations are maintained and operated in a secure manner
Ensure critical and security related software patches are applied in a timely manner
Ensure anti-virus updates and scans are performed in a timely manner
Provision desktop tools as needed for MSC staff
Provide helpdesk support to MSC staff
Provide on-call support as needed to assist with troubleshooting, escalation, or recovery of failing systems
Willing to work after hours or weekends as needed to perform necessary off-hours maintenance
Develop and maintain procedures and documentation related to IT operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
Requires knowledge of some of the following: server, desktop, application, network, security systems, virus protection, and hardware configurations
Preferred
Two years experience in a technical role directly supporting desktop and/or application servers is desired
Experience with Active Directory and MS SMS is preferred
Advanced training and/or certification in server or desktop management is helpful
A+ Certification and or MCSE Certification
