Year Round Intern - Labor Relations

Union Pacific Railroad is looking for high-energy, hard-working individuals for a year-round internship in their Human Resources department. As an intern on the Labor Relations team, you will assist in preparing labor contracts, collaborate with leaders on labor issues, and support various administrative tasks and research projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and reviewing labor contracts and related documents
Track contract compliance and assist in resolving contract disputes
Coordinate with the labor relations team to ensure accurate contract administration
Work closely with leaders to understand and address labor-related concerns
Assist in organizing, documentation and discussions related to labor issues
Support the implementation of labor relations strategies and initiatives
Maintain and update labor relations records and documentation
Prepare correspondence related to labor matters
Perform data entry and assist with document management and organization
Conduct research on labor relations trends
Draft reports and summaries on labor relations activities and issues
Analyze data and prepare presentations for internal stakeholders
Support cross-functional projects and/or strategic initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
18 years of age or older
Standard office work environment

Preferred

College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree with a focus in Technology, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Legal Studies/Pre-Law, or related field
