Responsibilities
Build the Foundation (BI Engineering): Design and maintain our Azure SQL data warehouse and Power BI environment, creating the 'Single Source of Truth' for Executive Leadership
NetSuite Reporting Architecture: Serve as the technical lead for complex NetSuite data needs. You will design the Saved Searches, DB queries, and Datasets that power our financial and operational decision-making
Business Partnering: Translate complex questions from Finance & Ops ('Why did margin drop?') into robust, repeatable datasets. You don't just answer the question once; you build the tool so they can answer it themselves next time
Governance & Hygiene: Document 'Source of Truth' rules (e.g., 'How do we define Gross Margin?') in our Scribe library and establish SLAs for report accuracy
Connect the Dots: Work with IT Leadership to merge siloed data (Shopify, 8x8, Celigo) into a unified view for the 2026 Strategic Plan
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, IS, or equivalent experience
Strong proficiency in SQL (you can write complex queries from scratch)
Proven experience building dashboards in Power BI (Bring a portfolio to the interview!)
Strong familiarity with ERP structures (NetSuite preferred). You don't need to be an accountant, but you must understand how tables link together (e.g., Transaction -> Transaction Line)
Basic Financial Literacy: Understanding of core business concepts (Revenue, COGS, Margins) is essential
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services
A Microsoft Native: You live in the Microsoft ecosystem. You understand how Entra ID, SharePoint, and Power Platform play together
A 'Utility Player': You are primarily a builder of new things, but you are also the safety net. You are willing to dive into NetSuite Saved Searches to help the Finance team solve a complex reporting challenge when needed
Financially Literate: You understand the basics of business data. You know the difference between an Invoice and a Sales Order, and you understand how data flows through a General Ledger
A 'Truth Teller': You care about accuracy. You are comfortable presenting data that 'tells it like it is' to leadership
Curious & 'Green': You may not have 10 years of experience, but you have a portfolio that proves you can build things
Local: You are based in the Greater Toledo/Perrysburg area and thrive in a collaborative, in-person environment

NetSuite (Experience is strongly preferred)
Understanding of Order/Customer data structures is a huge plus
