Responsibilities

Own and grow customer accounts with full sales and budget responsibility, delivering results through strong key account plans, forecasting, and CRM excellence
Identify high-impact customer & product combinations and uncover niche value propositions within the Lubricant Additives market
Build trusted relationships with the technical side of the customer, gaining deep insight into their products, markets, and needs—while positioning LANXESS solutions against competitive offerings
Sell value, not price, securing customer commitments through differentiated solutions
Collaborate cross-regionally and cross-functionally to support new market opportunities, product/service improvements, and key account initiatives
Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and customer offerings to sharpen our market positioning
Represent LANXESS at key industry events and trade shows such as AFPM, ILMA, STLE, and NLGI

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of relevant experience in the chemical industry (distribution management experience a plus)
Proven success qualifying prospects, selling value, and closing deals—ideally in the chemical industry
Strong key account management and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
Strategic thinker who can anticipate motivations, manage complexity, and drive favorable outcomes
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred

MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
Knowledge of lubricants, base oils, additives, finished products, and competitive markets preferred
