IT Specialist (Cloud Platform Engineer)

Responsibilities
Designing and managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
Managing CMS’s cloud infrastructure and networking, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems for identity and access management, security, and disaster recovery
Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that integrate testing, security, and compliance controls
Leads security and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP and FISMA standards, managing disaster recovery plans, and coordinating incident response
Drives innovation and cost optimization through FinOps practices, mentors junior engineers, and guides the adoption of new technologies

You must have IT-related experience, at the GS-13 grade level in the federal government, demonstrating each of the four competencies listed: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations
