Responsibilities
Serve as a primary dairy facing engagement leader to ensure dairy farmers have technical support to make informed decisions about sustainable solutions / technologies
Identify and coordinate the resources from the Farm Journal behavioral insights to execute on the ground needs of dairy farmers
Develop technical materials to support dairy farmers in making decisions to enroll in sustainability or conservation related programs, using partnerships with industry resources as appropriate
Serve as a dairy operational / sustainability technical expert within Farm Journal, assisting all functional and sales teams with ensuring the needs of dairy farmers are met via Farm Journal programming
Measure project performance, report to leadership and provide ongoing progress reports
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience in animal / dairy science, dairy operations, dairy production, or agricultural technology field or comparable experience
Deep understanding of modern dairy farm management, including manure management, in-field activities, herd health / management, milk quality, and feed management
Proven project management experience and skills
Good client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage competing priorities with high regards to details
The capability to manage multiple projects and tasks on a regular basis
Adaptable, flexible, thrives in ambiguous and evolving environments
Team player. Belief that communication, collaboration and accountability are keys to a great teammate
Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Dairy Science, Animal Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or related field is required
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Preferred
Knowledge of dairy sustainability practices, such as water conservation, feed efficiency, carbon programs, regenerative practices
Knowledge in Beef industry, technology and agriculture a plus
Master's Degree or PhD is preferred
