Advisor Services Associate
Alphastar Capital Management is a growth-oriented Registered Investment Adviser offering platform affiliation to Independent Advisor Representatives. The Advisor Services Associate supports operational processes between Advisors and the firm, managing onboarding, client account processes, and daily requests to ensure exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison for assigned Advisors, leading their onboarding to Alphastar. This means more than guiding them through steps — you orchestrate a smooth transition by anticipating roadblocks, coordinating across internal departments, and ensuring a seamless start for each new relationship
For existing Advisors, manage the day-to-day relationship for all operationally oriented processes, including client account opening and closing, household changes, cash contribution and distribution requests, and directly handling or facilitating with other departments on a variety of daily ad hoc requests
Establish, maintain, and continuously build a high level of report with Advisors and their staff positioning yourself as a trusted problem-solver who understands their business and advocates for their success
Complete all job tasks with a high degree of independence and personal accountability, while being prepared as a team player to step up and support (and receive support from) fellow teammates when necessary
Support Alphastar in a variety of other duties and responsibilities as required by your supervisor
Qualification
Required
Experience in wealth or asset management; understands investment concepts and systems; experience with our partners and their technology (Schwab, Fidelity, Orion, etc.)
Operates with speed, a high degree of precision, and a positive customer service approach each and every day. You are someone with a high degree of personal accountability and take great pride in your work
Maintains composure and capable of handling stress and potential unpredictability on any given day
Can handle difficult customer interactions; including de-escalating the situation, determining a logical course of action, and bringing in the appropriate Alphastar resources where needed
Continuous improvement mindset: bringing forth new ideas and a proactive approach to helping refine and redevelop processes such that they improve one or multiple of our operation metrics – speed, accuracy, efficiency, and service
Humble, positive, and open to feedback to grow and improve
Excellent communication, both written and spoken, as well as fantastic interpersonal skills
