Quality Inspector - 1st shift (Tues-Fri)
GE Aerospace is a leading company in the aerospace industry, and they are seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Inspection team. The role involves inspecting and finalizing parts and products for commercial and military aircraft, utilizing various inspection instruments and methodologies to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret assembly and machine detail part blueprints, specifications, GD&T, and other quality documents pertaining to the manufacture of products produced or purchased
Use inspection instruments including CMM’s (MCOSMOS software), optical comparators, micrometers, gauge blocks, calipers, and indicators to measure precision machined aircraft components
Perform necessary mathematical calculations as required with minimum amount of training
Conduct diversity of inspections which may include first article inspections, receiving inspection, final inspection of machined parts and final assemblies, first piece inspections, and in-process sampling
Assist machinists with checking dimensions that cannot be measured at the machine
Check parts for conformity to processes and specifications
Follow standardized procedures with allowable variations defined
Devise ordinary gaging/measuring setups
Generate detailed non-conformance records for non-conforming machined parts or assemblies
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols
Ability to understand blueprints, machining process sheets, and shop specifications
Eyesight correctable to 20/20 required
Preferred
Demonstrated ability with computer systems
Strong documentation skills to record inspection characteristics and data
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Driven learner interested in improving their skills and processes
Maintain a positive can-do attitude that drives team collaboration
Ability to manage time during multiple inspections in addition to other duties
Ability to work with a multitude of teams, including machinists, inspectors, and engineers
Proven ability to work without supervision; ability to work independently with some assistance from senior operators
Ability to set up and operate most test equipment
