The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Jacksboro is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Financial Support Associate. The primary responsibilities are focused on providing business office functions, including managing accounts receivable and payable, and serving as campus cashier.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivables
Serve as campus cashier and write receipts for monies received
Balance petty cash, prepare deposits and review summary reports for Operational Account
Prepare accounting entries related to the intake of funds
Post all charges for tuition, fees, books, and supplies to student accounts each term utilizing Banner and collect unpaid balances
Post all payments to student accounts utilizing Banner
Verify and balance student accounts
Handle state employee fee waivers and discounts
Invoice third party for payment of student accounts
Process student refunds
Follow TBR policy and approved procedures to collect overdue student accounts
Responsible for the collection of returned checks
Prepare 1098T forms for students paying cash for tuition
Work with financial aid counselor to reconcile general ledger and Pell processing and reconcile both with TBR Accountant
Receipt monies for work orders for each instructor/program
Maintain cost sheets for each academic program and make available for student distribution
Compute and prepare quarterly sales tax report
WIOA reporting
Other duties assigned by the President or Vice President
Place book orders when inventory falls below minimum, verify book orders when received, and price books for resale
Prepare requisitions and departmental purchase orders for supplies and equipment
Reconciliation of purchasing cards, credit card statements and bank accounts
Prepare purchase authorization and confirmation of deliveries with proper invoices attached for items purchased
Maintain accounting files and correspondence
Prepare A/R and A/P reports as requested to TBR
Monitor revenues and expenses in the Banner system throughout the year
Prepare monthly as well as year-end reconciliation of all agency accounts
Process year-end reconciliation for bank account confirmations, vendor list, and reconciliation list
