Enterprise Architect 

Gradera is building a next-generation Digital Twin and Physical AI platform that enables enterprises to model, simulate, and optimize complex real-world systems. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining, maintaining, and optimizing the end-to-end enterprise architecture across the organization, ensuring alignment between business strategy and technology execution through governance and architectural frameworks.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals
Apply TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks to structure architectural artifacts, methodologies, and governance
Define architectural principles, standards, and reference models to guide solution design and technology decisions
Design and implement enterprise integration patterns (EIPs) ensuring interoperability, scalability, and resilience across platforms
Lead architectural efforts for railroad systems—including signaling, operations management, asset monitoring, communications systems, and control systems
Provide oversight on the integration of legacy, operational technology (OT), and modern digital platforms
Establish and enforce technology governance frameworks to ensure consistency, compliance, and adherence to best practices
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Drive architectural review boards (ARBs) and guide project teams in conforming to approved architectures
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to develop robust security architecture, ensuring all solutions adhere to corporate and industry security requirements
Ensure that enterprise architecture aligns with regulatory and industry standards, including safety, privacy, and operational compliance relevant to transportation and critical infrastructure
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation plans related to architecture and system design
Partner with executives, product owners, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into architectural solutions
Mentor solution architects and engineering teams in architectural best practices and technical strategy
Influence cross-functional teams to adopt modern design patterns, integration strategies, and secure engineering practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of architecture experience, including enterprise, solution, or systems architecture
Hands-on expertise with enterprise integration patterns, API design, event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and data integration
Experience with railroad or transportation system architectures (e.g., signaling systems, dispatching platforms, control systems)
Strong understanding of security architecture, IAM, encryption, and secure systems design
Experience developing and maintaining technology standards and governance frameworks
Proficiency with TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture methodologies
