Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the technical development of projects working under Project Managers and Principals from Conceptual Design through Construction Documents and Construction Phase
Ability to coordinate with a multi-discipline team of architects and engineers, both in-house staff and outside subconsultants, ensuring the project is detailed and executed to maintain the design concept with technical astuteness and within the project budget
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Develop presentation documents and participate in presentations to clients
Develop design concepts under the leadership of the Principal Designer
Participate in design phase activities by providing expertise in detail development
Develop construction drawings and specifications for all project phases
Ensure that designs meet applicable building code requirements
Assist with all corresponding bid and construction phase activities in the office and in the field
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program
Registered Architect in the State of New York and/or New Jersey
10+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience working within the rail/transit sector
Transit Architecture design experience including station and related facilities is required
Experience in the transportation sector is required
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley OpenBuildings Designer, Microsoft Office Suite are required
Ability to work in a team environment and work both in the office and remotely in a hybrid work environment
Preferred
Strong client relationships and the ability to participate in business development and proposal preparation is desired
