This role involves designing, optimizing, and sustaining efficient assembly operations while collaborating with various teams to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Develop, document, and improve assembly processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Design and optimize assembly line layouts, tooling, fixtures, and workstations
Support new product introductions (NPI) by defining assembly requirements and validating processes
Analyze assembly methods to improve efficiency, ergonomics, quality, and throughput
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
Troubleshoot assembly issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
Collaborate with quality teams to resolve defects and ensure compliance with specifications
Support production with hands-on engineering assistance as needed
Collect and analyze production data to drive process improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Experience supporting or developing assembly processes in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical assembly methods and manufacturing principles
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience creating work instructions, process documentation, and standard work
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with ergonomics and human factors in assembly operations
Experience supporting automated or semi-automated assembly systems
Hands-on experience on the manufacturing floor
