Responsibilities

Own every open requisition from intake through close
Define sourcing strategy, interview structure, scoring, and closing approach for each role
Balance speed, quality, and culture in real time
Partner closely with founders and senior leaders
Bring recommendations, not just options
Translate shifting priorities into clear hiring strategy
Hold the hiring bar when urgency is high
Design and own structured interview frameworks
Build and enforce consistent candidate scoring systems
Calibrate interviewers to improve signal and decision-making
Reduce chaos without introducing bureaucracy
Evaluate values, judgment, creativity, and culture add
Design interviews that surface who candidates really are
Ensure culture is reinforced with every hire
Own proactive sourcing strategy across functions
Personally source for high-impact or hard-to-fill roles
Build repeatable pipelines aligned to business needs
Lead and develop a small recruiting team
Set priorities, expectations, and accountability
Step in hands-on when needed
Own recruiting workflows within Workday
Innovate around ATS limitations to improve signal and experience
Ensure clean data and visibility tied to execution
Deliver a clear, respectful, high-touch candidate experience
Protect the employer brand at every touchpoint
Partner with HR on offer-to-onboarding handoff
Maintain clear separation between recruiting and HR responsibilities

Required

8–15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition
Experience in startup or small-business environments
Comfortable in founder-led, constantly changing organizations
Background in DTC ecommerce, CPG, marketing, brand, growth, or creative hiring
Strong executive communication and judgment
Builder mindset — you've brought order to chaos before
Low ego, high ownership
Still hands-on and close to the work

Preferred

Experience with Workday or similar ATS
Experience hiring across marketing, creative, growth, and commercial roles
