Responsibilities
Accurately inspects, prepares and packages all instrumentation and equipment for sterilization
Decontaminates all instrumentation and equipment effectively ensuring adherence to quality standards
Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for processing and/or other departments as assigned. Processes and completes associated case cart documentation
Sterilizes all equipment ensuring the appropriate sterilization method is used and respective SOP followed. Operates Steam and EO sterilizers and accurately completes associated documentation
Participate in department continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School or GED required
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Zero years of work experience is required
Ability to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift
Ability to wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps
Preferred
CRCST Certification or equivalent preferred
One (1) year work experience in a sterile processing environment or inspection role
