Responsibilities

Attend virtual board meetings (minimum of two a year during a 12 month calendar period)
Provide input on key organizational proposals and offer your support, opinions, and votes on strategic decisions to advance the mission of 1 Voice Can Help

Required

Strong passion for creativity, music, community service, and contributing to a meaningful cause
Experience in public relations at a company or organization
Press releases and media relations skills
Public relations and communication skills
Experience in strategic communications
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Deep understanding of industry trends
Ability to nurture relationships with stakeholders, thought leaders, and the media

Preferred

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in public relations, marketing, or advertising (Master's Degree is preferred)
Knowledge of the non-profit sector is a plus
Experience with editing promotional materials
Experience with the distribution of press releases
Serve as company spokesperson at public-facing events and press conferences
Experience with establishing strategies for damage containment in crisis situations
Deep knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media channels
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
Leverage existing traditional and new media relationships - broadcast, traditional, and online - to land prominent placements for marketing purposes
Pitch new ideas, amplify brand content on social media, and stay current with trends and opportunities
Write timely press releases and media kits, and direct our in-house social-media team to communicate proactively
Experience and knowledge of the nonprofit sector are a plus, but not mandatory for this role
