Responsibilities
Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values
Take in, diagnose and repair 2 and 4 cycle engines including the following brands; Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Kawasaki, Powermore, and Husqvarna
Take in, diagnose and repair carburetors and fuel injection systems
Diagnose and repair outdoor power equipment such as air compressors, power washers and chainsaws
Repair go carts, UTVs, and ATVs sold at Family Farm and Home
Diagnose and repair the following brands of CVT and hydraulic transmissions; HydroGear, Tuff Torq
Diagnose and repair hydraulics
Ensure that the repair department is performing to the expectations of the Store Manager
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
Execute the daily operational, day¬ to ¬day goals, and priorities assigned by store management
Assist in the training and development of peers
Assist in loading customer purchases
Assist in assemblies of power equipment, BBQ grills, and other products as needed by management
Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards
Participate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organized
Be aware of and respond to safety issues
Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on Family Farm and Home supported internet, as well as processing special orders
Solicit customers to open a Family Farm and Home Loyalty card
Answer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policies
All other duties as assigned by store management or company official
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 year experience with small engine repair and outdoor power equipment repair
Welding skills
12 volt wiring skills
Sales and marketing experience with retail programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
Ability to multitask
Demonstrate a commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members
Knowledge of retail computer systems
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Ability to lift 65 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store
Preferred
Manufacturer's certification
Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
