The Service Technician II will be responsible for performing repair, maintenance, and service work on a range of vehicles in the rental fleet, ensuring quality is maintained throughout the rental lifespan.

Responsibilities
Perform repair, maintenance, and service work on rental fleet vehicles
Complete repair and maintenance tasks within set deadlines
Understand recall and warranty information from OEMs
Utilize and read service manuals
Verify all repair and maintenance items are properly installed and complete workshop orders accurately
Understand PTR return, check-in, and QC inspection processes
Execute all quality and safety standards regarding repair and maintenance procedures
Perform electronic vehicle check-ins to capture all billable damages
Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems
Prioritize safety, quality, and customer service
Escalate judgment calls to the department manager
Work with team members and department manager to improve repair and maintenance processes
5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization
Qualification
Required
MUST HAVE 2+ years of mechanical and/or electrical experience or currently enrolled in an automotive or electrical technical school
Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed
Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Willingness to purchase required tools
Knowledge of and proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
Flexibility and adaptability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong team player
Ability to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
Basic written communication skills and proficiency in using a tablet
Preferred
Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness
