Supplier Engagement & Onboarding Program Manager
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Supplier Engagement & Onboarding Program Manager to enhance collaboration with suppliers across its network. Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate implementation of supplier engagement and onboarding strategies with other members of the Procurement team (AVP of Sourcing & Contracting, Strategic Sourcing Managers, Category Managers)
Identify contracting opportunities for suppliers within CHOP. In partnership with the Sourcing & Contracting team, oversees and supports >$1B in annual spend across the CHOP enterprise
Drive engagement and interaction between CHOP Procurement, CHOP business units, and external vendors. Partner with external organizations and businesses/vendors throughout the Philadelphia metro area to assess opportunities for external vendors to better support CHOP
Serve as external-facing liaison to assess potential suppliers through discussion, coordination, reference calls, and supplier presentations
Partner with suppliers, external organizations, and internal CHOP stakeholders to establish and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers
Present to CHOP leaders on a recurring basis regarding the state of the program, including updates to the Executive team and others
Serves as the key contact for Vendor Compliance issues and assists CHOP departments with managing new and existing vendors through the entire lifecycle of the vendor compliance process
Working closely with Procurement leadership (VP Supply Chain, AVP of Sourcing & Contracting) and the Office of Community Impact, Office of Belonging & Inclusion, and other CHOP departments, set metrics for CHOP's Procurement team related to supplier engagement, onboarding, and vendor credentialing compliance
Develop procedures, policies, and standards for the supplier engagement and vendor credentialing programs. Serve as subject matter expert on supplier engagement and vendor credentialing initiatives. Provide insight and recommendations for process and communication improvements with local suppliers and key stakeholders
Track and manage both CHOP-wide and Procurement specific metrics regarding supplier engagement, onboarding, and spend. Responsible for data integrity and tracking metrics on a monthly basis, and reports out to leadership as required
Coordinate spend reporting activities and outline practices to ensure transparency into vendor spend. Manage contract compliance with relation to defined metrics as determined by CHOP leadership
Successfully manage simultaneous projects with short timelines and challenging logistics
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree - Required
At least seven (7) years related experience - Required
At least two (2) years in a supplier engagement, category management, or vendor management role - Required
Customer and supplier relationship management
Strong project management and process improvement skills; leads workgroups, creates work plans, deliverables, and desired outcomes for initiatives with targeted due dates
Proven project management skills with small to medium-sized projects, including those that require change management skills
Sets priorities based on customer input and organizational readiness
Ability to analyze and interpret qualitative data
Keen ability to compile data, evaluate data, and improve processes
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Communicates and influences effectively, with the ability to motivate and influence others. Ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite and Executive Leadership
Quick learner; inquisitive and motivated individual
Mature leadership skills; can lead inter-department teams and external stakeholder project teams
Must be detail, action, and results oriented. Must demonstrate mature judgment in managing responsibilities
