AAA Mountain West Group is seeking a Director of Content Strategy and Development for their Via platform, an integrated multi-channel service. This role involves overseeing the strategic vision, financial performance, and team management to enhance member engagement through various content formats.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a comprehensive multi-channel strategy that aligns with business objectives and broadens member engagement on the Via platform. This includes overseeing the overall Via content, including print, digital and audio platforms
Drives channel revenue growth through effective ad placement and sponsorship strategies, including identifying and evaluating new advertising revenue streams and distribution channels
Provides insights from Via readership to inform organizational decisions, ensuring the Member voice is represented in marketing and leadership discussions
Manage and evaluate the budget for the entire Via operation, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to meet or exceed targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive growth and expand the content offering
Negotiate contracts with key stakeholders, including vendors, and partners, ensuring favorable terms and legal compliance
Supervise and lead team members within the department
Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to ensure the team's professional development and success
Ensures alignment with budgets, timelines, and performance goals while providing transparency and collaboration with internal stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, business, or a related field plus 10 years of leadership experience in publishing or content creation, with demonstrated success in managing multi-platform content operations
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content strategies that drive engagement, growth, and revenue
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
Deep understanding of the publishing industry, market trends, and audience behavior
Proficiency in analytics tools, content management systems, and publishing platforms
Ability to adapt quickly to changing technologies and market dynamics
