Commissioning Engineer
Sterling Engineering is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of new and modified facilities, utilities, and equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves close collaboration with project engineers and stakeholders to ensure systems transition safely from construction to operations while meeting various compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
Develop and support User Requirements Specifications (URS) and Functional/Design Specifications
Coordinate and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with vendors and project teams
Develop and execute commissioning and testing protocols
Identify critical design elements using FMEA or risk-based approaches
Support troubleshooting during commissioning and document issues to resolution
Ensure commissioning documentation is compliant with FDA cGMP expectations
Support the development of SOPs and operating procedures
Train maintenance, engineering, and operations staff on new or modified systems
Qualification
Required
3+ years of commissioning, facilities engineering, or equipment engineering experience
Experience commissioning facilities, utilities, or equipment in regulated industries
Ability to generate commissioning documentation that can stand up to regulatory review
Working knowledge of FDA cGMP requirements
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
