Responsibilities
Jira Development: Design, develop, and customize Jira solutions, including workflows, dashboards, and plugins, to enhance functionality and user experience
REST API Development: Create and maintain RESTful APIs for integrating Jira with other applications and services, ensuring data consistency and integrity
System Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement architecture strategies and best practices for Jira deployments
Integration: Work on integrating Jira with third-party tools and systems, utilizing both custom and out-of-the-box solutions
Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize Jira performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to improve efficiency
Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user manuals
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps, to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery
Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Jira environments, addressing user issues and implementing new features as required
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Jira development and administration
Strong experience with RESTful API design and development
Proficiency in Java and/or Python for scripting and automation tasks
In-depth knowledge of Jira Software and Jira Service Management
Familiarity with Jira plugins, such as ScriptRunner or Jira Misc Workflow Extensions
Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred
Experience with cloud-based Jira solutions (e.g., Atlassian Cloud)
Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices
