Responsibilities
Linux Administrator responsible for on-site support of production environments
Duties include system tuning, performance analysis, filesystem management (XFS, EXT4, multipathing), security hardening, and advanced troubleshooting on RHEL and Ubuntu servers
Manage VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter) for VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance optimization
Investigate and resolve P1 issues, performing root-cause analysis using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump
Administer storage technologies including SAN, NAS, RAID, LUNs, and multipathing recover and tune file systems, address file-system corruption, and optimize disk I/O
Implement and support enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity) and automate tasks through scripting
Collaborate with network teams, applying TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLAN, and firewall knowledge to achieve end-to-end problem resolution
Operate within a 24×7 environment adhering to strict SLA and availability requirements
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator
On-site support of production environments
System tuning and performance analysis
Filesystem management (XFS, EXT4, multipathing)
Security hardening
Advanced troubleshooting on RHEL and Ubuntu servers
Manage VMware environments (ESXi, vCenter) for VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance optimization
Investigate and resolve P1 issues
