Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements, regulatory filings, and internal reports with accuracy
Process journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities in Oracle and other systems
Maintain internal controls, reconcile key accounts, and ensure financial statement alignment
Support audit documentation, annual budgets, and ad hoc financial analyses
Enhance monthly close efficiency through automation and best practices
Mentor staff accountants and ensure compliance with statutory, SEC, and insurance-specific regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience
Expertise in financial reporting
Expertise in general ledger management
Expertise in regulatory compliance
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong analytical skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to mentor junior staff
Ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred
CPA
Insurance industry experience with a strong understanding of statutory accounting principles (SAP)
