Responsibilities
Maintain and manage the organization's server infrastructure, ensuring workflows are efficient and reliable
Develop technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architecture
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and domain policy issues to minimize downtime
Perform advanced software installations, upgrades, and updates to operating systems and layered software packages
Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance levels
Ensure data integrity by implementing standard software, hardware, and security solutions
Lead efforts to ensure recoverability of services in the event of disasters
Conduct network audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Evaluate existing systems and develop long-term strategies for improvement and modernization
Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational goals
Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Perform DISA STIG review and implementation
Qualification
Required
Secret clearance level must currently possess
Top Secret/SCI clearance level must be able to obtain
5 + years of related experience
US Citizenship Required
Certification: Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting computer systems, networks, and software
Experience creating and applying group policies
Strong understanding of system workflows, configurations, and architectures
Experience with system backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity
Expertise in system hardware and software troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of system performance tuning and optimization
Excellent communication and training skills for end-user support
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
Security clearance level: Secret
Preferred
Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible)
Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency
