The State of West Virginia is seeking an Office Assistant 2 for the DHS at Stevens Correctional Center and Jail. This role involves performing clerical tasks, scheduling inmate visits, and maintaining inmate files while ensuring compliance with office procedures.

Responsibilities

Schedules inmate visits and verifies the identity of all facility visitors (attorneys, probation/parole, volunteers)
Processing of inmate and facility mail
Answering and directing phone calls
Sorting and filing documents
Routine data entry
Assist administrative staff with typing memos, reports and notices
Maintain hard copies of inmate files as well as utilizing the OIS system to input inmate file information
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work
