Responsibilities
Manage network devices to include account access, ensuring network availability, daily maintenance and sustainment activities, and properly deploying new capabilities as required
Troubleshoot basic Network issues. This may include but is not limited to password resets, connectivity issues, and system outages
Maintenance of back up and storage systems. This includes performing routine maintenance, backups, and testing system recovery capabilities of network devices
Patching and updating systems to maintain a compliant security posture within the MDSEA environment
Management and sustainment of virtualized machines and servers
Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
Relay information between end-users, MDSEA support teams (i.e. Networks, System Engineers, Cyber. Etc.), and other relevant parties. Both verbally and in writing
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for Network Engineer tasks to build continuity for future admins
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions, including phone conversations and in-person assistance
Qualification
Required
Must have 1, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
Must be able to work on-site at the designated area to access systems, provide in-person support, and answer phones
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
The role also requires extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, and occasionally crawling under desks
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal ‘teaming' soft skills
Must be proficient with MS Office
Must have, or obtain within three months of starting, a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
