Responsibilities
Process and submit medical claims accurately and in a timely manner to ensure prompt reimbursement
Investigate and resolve denied claims by identifying issues and submitting appeals as necessary
Manage collections efforts by contacting patients and insurance providers to secure outstanding payments
Review and analyze medical billing data to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain detailed records of billing activities and communications for documentation purposes
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative teams to address billing discrepancies and improve workflows
Stay updated on industry changes and insurance regulations to ensure billing practices remain compliant
Handle inquiries related to billing and collections, providing clear explanations to patients and stakeholders
Utilize hospital billing systems effectively to perform tasks and generate reports as required
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in medical billing, claims processing, and collections within a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of handling medical denials and appeals processes
Familiarity with hospital billing systems and procedures
Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies
Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare teams
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
