Start in 2026 SummerBDO is a place for energetic self-starters who can think and act like entrepreneurs. As an Intern in their Public Housing Authority practice, you will assist in outsourced accounting tasks and gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced team members.

Responsibilities
Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Trains on BDO specific accounting software and those used in the Public Housing Industry
Provides various support functions to the managers during year-end close and monthly accounting engagements
Prepares and documents work in working papers utilizing BDO specific formats and templates
Contributes ideas/opinions to the engagement teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views
Consistently communicates with managers and seniors regarding assignment questions to complete all work in prescribed time
Other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program, required; focus in Accounting, preferred
Leadership experience, preferred
Actively pursuing school credits to be able to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation, preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred
Preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow instructions as directed
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
