Responsibilities
Detailed UI Design: Create high-fidelity interface designs for core customer-facing workflows, ensuring clarity and speed for Search, Quoting, Inventory, and Payments
Prototyping & Interaction: Build interactive prototypes to test and validate user flows, specifically focusing on how the UI handles real-time data from API-based integrations
Device Assessment & Adaptation: Adapt designs for various retail hardware and screen resolutions, ensuring the platform is 'device-ready' for the pilot rollout
Component Development: Contribute to and maintain a centralized design system, ensuring all components are scalable for future multi-vertical expansions
Technical Collaboration: Work daily with developers to ensure designs are feasible within the routing layer architecture and to address any UI constraints posed by legacy backend systems
Iterative Refinement: Use feedback from the discovery and build phases to refine workflows, focusing on reducing friction in transactional retail tasks
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showing complex transactional interfaces (e.g., Dashboards, POS, E-commerce)
Experience working with (and contributing to) robust design systems and style guides
Strong understanding of micro-interactions, state management (loading, success, error), and user feedback loops
Understanding of the unique challenges of retail environments, such as high-glare screens, touch-screen targets, and rapid-use workflows
