Responsibilities
Define and execute a global ITAM strategy covering hardware, software, cloud, and SaaS assets across all regions
Establish global ITAM, HAM, SAM, and CMDB policies, standards, and controls, with regionally adaptable execution models
Create governance forums and operating models that align global consistency with regional compliance and business needs
Serve as the global executive owner for ITAM processes, tools, and data quality
Oversee global hardware lifecycle management for end-user devices, data center assets, network equipment, and regional infrastructure
Ensure standardized asset tracking from procurement through deployment, refresh, transfer, and retirement across geographies
Align ITAM practices with global regulatory requirements (e.g., data protection, software licensing, environmental compliance)
Drive global hardware standards and refresh strategies while accounting for regional sourcing and regulatory requirements
Ensure secure asset disposition and data destruction in compliance with regional data privacy and environmental regulations
Partner with Security and Infrastructure teams to manage global asset risk and eliminate unknown or unmanaged devices
Lead global software and SaaS license management across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
Establish global license compliance and audit response programs, including coordination across regions and vendors
Act as the executive lead for global vendor audits and negotiations
Drive enterprise-wide cost optimization through license rationalization, global contract leverage, and usage analytics
Partner with Legal, Procurement, and Finance to align global contracts with regional consumption and compliance needs
Own the global CMDB strategy, architecture, and maturity roadmap
Ensure the CMDB functions as a trusted, enterprise system of record for assets, services, and configuration items
Establish global data standards, naming conventions, and relationship models with regional governance controls
Oversee discovery, service mapping, and integrations supporting accurate, near-real-time CMDB data
Enable global IT Service Management (ITSM) processes through high-quality configuration and asset data
Partner with global and regional Finance teams on IT asset budgeting, forecasting, capitalization, depreciation, and chargeback/showback
Reduce global financial, operational, and regulatory risk related to asset mismanagement or non-compliance
Ensure readiness for internal and external audits across regions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field plus at least 12 years of experience in IT Asset Management, with experience operating in global, multinational environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
At least 4 years of leadership experience
Deep expertise in HAM, SAM, and CMDB at enterprise scale
Strong understanding of global software licensing, hardware lifecycle management, and configuration management practices
Proven experience working with global Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Security organizations
Preferred
5+ years of leading distributed, cross-cultural teams
ITIL, IAITAM, ISO/IEC 19770, or similar certifications
Experience managing global vendor audits and negotiations
Experience supporting cloud and SaaS asset management globally
Familiarity with regional regulatory requirements impacting IT assets (e.g., data privacy, environmental standards)
