Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize assembly and automation processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance throughput
Implement best practices to improve product quality, consistency, and process reliability
Create and implement Autonomous Maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and operator ownership
Develop robot roadmaps to support quality, preventive maintenance, and long-term automation planning
Digitize chemical weight logs and implement tracking systems to improve accuracy, traceability, and compliance
Create, review, and maintain spare parts lists for assembly cells to improve uptime and maintenance efficiency
Design and implement QR asset tagging to enhance equipment tracking, maintenance workflows, and data visibility
Input and manage error-proofing devices in the CMMS system to support tracking, certification, and preventive maintenance
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency
Investigate and resolve issues related to assembly and automation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, maintenance, and production, to develop and improve robust manufacturing processes
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals
Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field
Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Knowledge of safety standards and protocols in manufacturing environments
English proficiency required, with strong verbal and written communication skills
