Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Senior Software / Platform Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable cloud-native backend services and integrating various systems into the NBA platform.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and/or Python, applying API‑first principles across REST and GraphQL interfaces

Build and optimize cloud‑native, distributed systems, ensuring resilience, observability, performance, and security best practices

Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate data pipelines, rules engines, ML services, and decision engines into the NBA platform

Maintain and evolve production‑grade systems that support state transitions, action metadata, eligibility rules, constraints, and channel activation workflows

Deliver reliable enterprise solutions with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence in regulated or healthcare environments

Required

Deep expertise building cloud‑native backend services using Node.js and/or Python

Strong API‑first engineering skills

Experience supporting large‑scale, event‑driven architectures

Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and/or Python, applying API‑first principles across REST and GraphQL interfaces

Build and optimize cloud‑native, distributed systems, ensuring resilience, observability, performance, and security best practices

Work with cross‑functional teams to integrate data pipelines, rules engines, ML services, and decision engines into the NBA platform

Maintain and evolve production‑grade systems that support state transitions, action metadata, eligibility rules, constraints, and channel activation workflows

Deliver reliable enterprise solutions with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and operational excellence in regulated or healthcare environments

Preferred

Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, and cloud‑native backend engineering

Expertise in building API‑first services (REST/GraphQL), including versioning, idempotency, and secure service interfaces

Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent)

Background designing scalable, distributed backend platforms with strong observability and operational benchmarks

Experience integrating backend systems with ML services, decision engines, and state machine frameworks

Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with product, data, and platform engineering teams

Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, financial, etc.) is a plus
