This role is critical for maintaining quality control, reducing rework, preventing delays, and ensuring safe and compliant mechanical/piping installations.

Responsibilities
Inspect piping materials, welds, joints, supports, and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
Prepare and maintain detailed quality control inspection reports, test records, checklists, and associated project documentation
Coordinate inspection activities with engineering, QA/QC, and construction teams to ensure timely completion and alignment with project schedules
Inspect and evaluate the quality of welds in accordance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, AWS, API)
Verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications prior to commencement of welding activities
Witness or perform NDT examinations (UT, MT, PT, RT) as required by the project’s ITP/QC plan
Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all NDT results
Inspect surface preparation to ensure compliance with cleanliness level, profile measurements, and environmental conditions
Monitor coating activities including mixing, application methods, DFT (Dry Film Thickness) measurements, curing processes, and workmanship
Qualification
Required
Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in piping inspection(coating/welding) within oil & gas / industrial construction
Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, API codes and standards
Certified NACE as coating inspector or AWS CWI
Experience with pipe fabrication or manufacturing
Strong reporting and documentation skills
