The DBA will ensure databases are secure, reliable, and perform efficiently by installing systems, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security measures.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and update database software and servers

Continuously monitor database systems for performance issues and optimize them for speed and efficiency

Implement security measures, manage user accounts and permissions, and ensure data is protected from unauthorized access

Develop and implement regular backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss in case of system failure

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the databases

Diagnose and resolve technical problems and user-reported issues

Assist in the design and development of database structures and schemas to meet new requirements

Provide technical support and training to database users

Write and maintain documentation for database procedures

Monitor and manage storage space for archives

Collaborate with software developers and other IT staff on data-related projects

Qualification
