They are seeking a part-time Lighting Design Intern to support their growing team, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop technical and creative skills in the lighting design industry.
Design Services
Responsibilities
Assisting with writing and editing specifications
Drafting support, including AutoCAD and REVIT
Assisting with lighting detail development
Preparing cut-sheets, packages, and document sets
Scanning and organizing images and project files
Proofreading documents
Assisting with day-to-day project coordination
Supporting cost estimate preparation
Assisting with procuring samples and preparing lighting mockups
Coordinating with local sales representatives for lighting equipment
Assisting with project site visits, including occasional out-of-town travel, as required
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in architecture, interior design, lighting design, or a related field
No prior lighting industry experience required
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or REVIT (academic experience acceptable)
Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus
Interest in lighting design and eagerness to learn lighting calculation software (e.g., AGI32)
