Project Architect

NAC Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves contributing innovative design ideas, producing high-quality drawings and specifications, and collaborating with clients and consultants to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Design Forward – Contribute innovative design ideas that reflect context, creativity, and client vision
Lead the Details – Independently produce high-quality drawings, specifications, and materials selections
Collaborate Creatively – Work alongside clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless, inspired outcomes
Problem Solve with Purpose – Apply your judgment to evaluate and implement architectural solutions for projects of medium to large complexity
Administer with Intent – Conduct construction site visits, review RFIs/submittals, and support project follow-through
Balance & Budget – Stay aligned with project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
Support the Vision – Ensure documents and deliverables reflect both design excellence and technical precision

Required

Must have experience working with LAUSD design standards and DSA plan check requirements and processes
Proficiency in Revit required
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) proficiency required
SketchUp or Rhino required
Strong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building/engineering systems, and agency requirements (NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC etc)
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Organized and efficient with a focus on quality, timelines, and collaboration
Passion for providing exceptional client service
Collaborative and professional work ethic
Licensed Architect who works independently and is responsible for finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction
Minimum 8 years of architecture-related experience in a professional setting

Preferred

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
Lumion, Enscape and V-Ray are a plus
Occasional project-related travel required
