Responsibilities
Support the design, analysis, troubleshooting, commissioning, equipment selection, and modification of commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, controls, grounding, and low-voltage systems
Develop electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and material take-offs
Perform conduit installation (rigid, EMT, cable tray), cable pulling, terminations, and panel
Interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, 70E, OSHA, and local electrical codes
Assist with planning, project scheduling, resource planning, and executing electrical, facilities, and shutdown projects
Coordinate with clients, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Provide day-to-day directions to electricians and technicians, including assignment of work, setting of priorities, and ensuring productivity and quality standards
Enforce job-site safety practices and conduct toolbox talks
Support training and mentoring of electricians and technicians
Ensure installations meet design intent, code requirements, and company standards
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and project documentation
Coordinate, conduct, or support site inspections and quality audits by internal staff and outside authority
Qualification
Required
Active Journeyman Electrician license
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering and/or electrical construction
Demonstrated project management experience on small to medium projects
Experience supervising field crews or technical teams
Strong knowledge of NEC and other applicable standards
Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools
Thorough understanding of OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
NFPA 70E Training
Ability to bridge field execution and engineering design
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work extended hours, shutdowns, or on-call schedules as needed
Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in elevated spaces
